POMODORO TECHNIQUE

This refers to a time management technique used to increase the productivity of people at work. It involves the breaking up of work into a number of sessions with sufficient short and long breaks in between the sessions for adequate rest. Each work session (called a "Pomodoro" ) is typically 25 minutes long, and the short and long breaks usually last 5 and 20 minutes respectively. The Pomodoro Technique was proposed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s to minimise the distractions that affect the workflow of workers, thus reducing their productivity.

I'm eagerly waiting for introduction of Pomodoro Technique in our office !! ☺

Its all about Efficient working and my wish has nothing to do with 25 minutes break... (!!!)

EQUITY PREMIUM

This refers to the additional return that an investor can earn by investing in stocks over more conservative financial assets like bonds. The existence of such a premium in the return on stocks is generally considered as compensation for the additional risk assumed while investing in them. The higher the degree of risk in an asset, the fewer the number of people willing to invest in it. Consequently, relatively less capital chases the future cash flow from risky assets, which leads to higher returns.

MOU between Ministry of Corporate Affairs and CBDT

• Ministry of Corporate Affairs & CBDT has signed an MOU for automatic & regular exchange of info to curb menace of shell companies and black money in the country.

• It will enable sharing of specific info such as PAN data, statement of financial transactions received from banks relating to corporates.

• Info shared will pertain to Indian corporates as well as foreign corporates operating in India 

OWNERS' EARNINGS IN FINANCE

The amount of cash that owners can take out of a business after all its cash requirements have been met. The concept of Owner's Earnings is similar to free cash flow, which measures the amount of cash a business generates after all its reinvestment needs - like capital expenditure - have been met successfully. Since it takes into account all cash payments that a business must make before it can pay its owners, owner's earnings can provide a better picture of owners' true income. The term is attributed to American investor Warren Buffet who uses it to arrive at the value of business.

Education qualification for polls 

• Rajasthan has become India's 1st state to lay down the minimum educational qualifications for contesting elections to village cooperative societies and other cooperative bodies.

• It will benefit around 10,000 cooperative and agricultural credit societies.

Aadhaar - PAN linkage must from July 1st

The Income Tax Department on Wednesday issued a notification making it mandatory for all those eligible for an Aadhaar Card to link it to their Permanent Account Number (PAN) from July 1st. The notification also said that the Aadhaar numbers must be submitted to the Principal Director General of Income Tax (Systems). 

About 2.07 crore taxpayers have already linked their Aadhaar with PAN, according to the government. There are currently 25 crore PAN card holders in the Country and 115 crore Aadhaar holders.

Govt. defers TDS, TCS provisions under GST 

• Government has deferred implementation of TDS and TCS provisions under GST to ensure its smooth rollout.

• Based on the feedback received from trade and Industry, the Government has decided to postpone provision relating to TDS and TCS

• Business with turnover less than Rs. 20 Lakhs, will also not be required to register themselves under GST for selling goods or services through E-commerce portal.

AADHAAR MUST FOR BANK ACCOUNTS

• Government has made Aadhaar Card mandatory for opening bank accounts and conducting financial transactions of Rs. 50,000 and above.

• Those with existing accounts will also have to submbit their unique identification number by December end.

• For opening bank accounts, Aadhaar number of managers or employees holding an attorney to transact on the company's behalf will have to be provided.

ജെ ഇ ഇ മെയിൻ പരീക്ഷയുടെ റിസൾട്ട് വന്നതിനു പിറ്റേ ദിവസം : അന്നത്തെ എല്ലാ പത്രങ്ങളുടെയും മുൻപേജിൽ  Entrance Coaching Centre ന്റെ പരസ്യങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് ചട്ടക്കൂടിലേക്ക് ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ചുരുങ്ങി കൂടുന്ന ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഇതൊരു പുതുമ അല്ല താനും. പേപ്പറിന്റെ   പേജുകൾ മറയ്ക്കുന്നതിനിടയിലാണ് ആ ചിത്രം എന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ പെട്ടത്.  "ഒരധ്യാപകനെ എടുത്തുപൊക്കുന്ന ഒരുപറ്റം വിദ്യാർഥികൾ"പരസ്യത്തിനായി ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങുന്ന പത്രമുതലാളികൾ എന്തിന് ഈ വ്യക്തിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഉൾപ്പേജിലെ ഒരു ബോക്സ് കോളം മാറ്റി വെച്ചു.ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരം തേടി ഞാൻ പോയത് പതിവുപോലെ ഗൂഗിളിനടുത്തേക്കാണ്. ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ എന്ന വ്യക്തിയെക്കുറിച്ചും  "Super Thirty" എന്ന പ്രസ്‌ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും ഗൂഗിളിൽ നിന്നുമറിഞ്ഞു.

പപ്പടം വിറ്റു നടന്ന യൗവനം :

പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസിൽ ക്ലാർക്ക് ആയിരുന്നു ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന്റെ അച്ഛൻ. അതിനാൽ തന്നെ മക്കളെ വലിയ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയം സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഉള്ള വരുമാനം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുമില്ല. ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ ഒരു ഹിന്ദി മീഡിയം സ്കൂളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം മകനെ ചേർത്തു. കണക്കിൽ ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ തല്പരനാകുന്നതും ഈ സ്‌കൂൾ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ തന്നെയാണ്. വിഘ്യാതമായ കേംബ്രിഡ്ജ് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന് പ്രവേശനവും ലഭിച്ചു. പക്ഷെ പിതാവിന്റെ പെട്ടന്നുള്ള മരണം കുടുംബത്തെ സാമ്പത്തിക പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലാഴ്ത്തി. അങ്ങനെ കേംബ്രിഡ്ജ് എന്ന വലിയ സ്വപ്നം ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു.പക്ഷെ കണക്കിനെ അയാൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചില്ല. പകൽ സമയത്തു ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ കണക്കിൽ ഗവേഷണങ്ങൾ നടത്തി, രാത്രികളിൽ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം ചുമലിൽ കെട്ടി പപ്പടം വില്പനക്കാരനായി. വാരാന്ത്യങ്ങളിൽ പത്രമാസികകൾ വായിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം വാരാണസിയിലേക്ക് വണ്ടി കയറി...


പപ്പട വിൽപ്പനക്കാരൻ ട്യൂഷൻ മാഷ് ആകുന്നു 

1992 ൽ ആണ് ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ "രാമാനുജൻ സ്കൂൾ ഓഫ് മാത്തമാറ്റിക്സ്" എന്ന സ്‌ഥാപനം തുടങ്ങുന്നത്. 500 രൂപ മാസ വാടകയ്‌ക്ക് മുറിയെടുത്തായിരുന്നു തുടക്കം.രണ്ടു വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ മാത്രമേ തുടക്കത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. വളരെ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ എണ്ണം അമ്പതും, നൂറും, കടന്ന് 500 ൽ എത്തി. ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ പട്നയിലെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു അദ്ധ്യാപകൻ ആയി മാറി...


"ജീവിതം മാറ്റി മറിച്ച  ആ മുപ്പതു പേർ "

2000 ൽ ആണ് ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ  "Turning Point " സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്. IIT-JEE പരീക്ഷക്ക് പരിശീലനം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് നിർദ്ധനനായ ഒരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥി ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന്റെ സമീപിച്ചു. എൻട്രൻസ് കോച്ചിങ് സെന്ററുകൾ വാങ്ങുന്ന വലിയ ഫീസ് താങ്ങാനാവാതെ വളരെയധികം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്നു എന്ന സത്യം ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ മനസ്സിലാക്കി. അത്തരക്കാരുടെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾക്കു ചിറക് വെക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം "Super 30" എന്ന സ്കീം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, ഇന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം നമുക്ക് സുപരിചിതനായതും ഈ പ്രസ്‌ഥാനം വഴിയാണ്.നിർധനരായ 30 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം സൗജന്യ പരിശീലനം നൽകി. (താമസവും ഭക്ഷണവും ഉൾപ്പെടെ ). വിവിധ സ്‌ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നടത്തുന്ന എൻട്രൻസ് ടെസ്റ്റ് വഴി ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ ആ മിടുക്കരെ കണ്ടെത്തി.2003 മുതൽ 2017 വരെ ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന് കീഴിൽ പരിശീലിച്ച 450 ൽ 391 പേരും IIT-JEE കടമ്പ കടന്നു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഭക്ഷണം പാകം ചെയ്ത് ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന്റെ അമ്മയും അവർക്ക് വേണ്ട മറ്റു സഹായങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു കൊടുത്തു സഹോദരനും ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന് പൂർണ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നു .ഈ അധ്യാപകനെ റാഞ്ചിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ ഒരു പാട് വലിയ കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് ശൃംഖലകൾ ശ്രമം നടത്തി. പക്ഷെ ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ അവരിൽ നിന്നെല്ലാം ഒഴിഞ്ഞു മാറി. ഒരു രൂപ പോലും Donation വാങ്ങാതെയാണ് ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ ഈ പ്രസ്‌ഥാനം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയെടുത്തത്. അറിവും പ്രയത്നവും സമർപ്പണവുമാണ് ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിന്റെ മൂലധനം. ട്യൂഷൻ എടുത്ത് കിട്ടുന്ന വരുമാനമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം "Super 30" സംരഭത്തിനുവേണ്ടി മാറ്റിവെക്കുന്നത്.

കർമതല്പരനായ ആനന്ദ് കുമാറിനെ തേടി ഒരുപാട് അംഗീകാരങ്ങളും എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അംഗീകാരങ്ങളുടെ കൊടുമുടിയിൽ എത്തുമ്പോഴും അദ്ദേഹം വിനയാന്വിതനാണ്.

സ്വയം മാർക്കറ്റ് ചെയ്യാനറിയാത്തത് ഒരു ന്യൂനത ആയി കണക്കാക്കുന്ന ഇന്നത്തെ കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് ലോകത്തു ആനന്ദ് കുമാർ വ്യത്യസ്തനാണ്. "സൂപ്പർ 30 " എന്ന തന്റെ സംരംഭം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വികസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഒരുങ്ങുകയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.

First underwater metro in India
