NASA's first mission to the sun

• NASA is launching a spacecraft named "Parker Solar Probe" to Sun in the Summer 2018.

• It will explore sun's outer atmosphere and make critical observations that will answer decades-old questions about the physics of how stars work.

• This will be NASA's first mission to the sun.

• NASA renamed the Solar probe mission to honor pioneering Physicist Eugene Parker
