REVISED SCHEME OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Hari Narayanan Mundayur

Really happy to know about the revised scheme of CA Course introduced by ICAI, Hoping that new scheme of education and training will improve the quality of CA  course and my sincere wishes to CA Abraham Kallivayalil (Chairman, Board of Studies) and his team....

I had a lot of negative views about old ITT Scheme, Sharing my experience during my ITT Training

"It is very true that CA is one of the toughest course in the world. The course has got its own standards. Currently I am pursuing the second phase of CA course ( IPCC). Last week I joined for IT training in a nearby ICAI branch. I was very depressed on the first day itself. Truly speaking, the IT training course is not up to the mark as wished by me. I expected IT training to be training oriented. It is very unfortunate that the online exam which is a multiple choice test does not test the practical knowledge gained. Rather it is just a test for vomiting the by heart learnt things.

We were forced to by heart the names of tabs, number of ribbons, contents in ribbons ( including number of items ). I met colleague of mine who said all the above mentioned items in the same order as it appears, but, he could not insert even a picture into the document. My small suggestion is to make the exam a practical test. What is the need of studying the whole tabs and ribbons without knowing how to do a simple assignment?
